Teach 2 Reach (T2R) is a part of the spiritual culture of TBC and is modeled throughout the Old and New Testaments. T2R is about teaching members of our congregations and those who want to know how we can reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how we can hold each other lovingly accountable to living a holy life. You will find this modeled in:
- Deuteronomy 6:7
- Matthew 28:19-20
- Colossians 3:16
- 2 Timothy 2:2
- Titus 2:1-8
- 1 Peter 3:15
T2R is also to encourage life-long learning of the scriptures and to learn to apply it to our life. It has been said “you cannot lead anyone where you have not been.” This is so true of our ability to share the gospel with others. We must first learn God’s word and then live God’s word. T2R is about living out what you have learned and what God is teaching you so others may see Him in you. God at work in us is called Spiritual formation and it allows us to share the love of Jesus in authentic, loving, and compassionate ways.
So, what does T2R encompass:
- Sunday School & Small Groups
- Discipleship
- All Ministries (Men, Women, Seniors, Young adults, Youth and Children)
- Outreach efforts
- Counseling services
- Sunday Morning Worship (Music and Production and Preaching)
- Every aspect of the TBC culture.
